Noynoy leads partial, unofficial tally of PPCRV

Liberal Party standard bearer Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino Monday made an early lead among his competitors in the presidential race, while Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay was leading among the vice presidential hopefuls in the partial and unofficial tally of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV).

Initial tally returns from 985 precincts as of 7:50 p.m. Monday showed that Aquino was leading the pack of presidential aspirants with a total of 111,191 votes.

Aquino was followed by Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino (PMP) presidential candidate former President Joseph Ejercito Estrada with 85,756 votes and Nacionalista Party bet Manuel “Manny” Villar with 69,756 votes.

Tailing behind the three were Lakas-Kampi-CMD candidate Gilbert Teodoro Jr. (35,909) and Bangon Muna Presidential candidate Bro. Eddie Villanueva (9,809).

KBL bet Vitalano Acosta, who was disqualified recently by the Commission on Elections, surprisingly garnered 2,011 votes, edging out Bagong Bayan Candidate Dick Gordon with 1,303 votes, Nicanor “Nick” Perlas with 491 votes, Senator Jamby Madrigal with 418 votes, and JC De los Reyes with 385 votes.

In the vice presidential race, Binay pulled a surprise early lead against survey leader and LP vice president Manuel “Mar” Roxas II.

As of 7:75 p.m., Binay got 118, 092 votes to post a lead against Roxas who only got 91,991 votes.

Behind the two was Nacionalista Party vice presidential candidate Loren Legarda with 66,061 votes.
