SENATOR Manuel Roxas II continued to maintain a double-digit lead over his closest rival for the vice presidency, Senator Loren Legarda, the latest Pulse Asia survey shows.
Roxas, the Liberal Party candidate, was the top choice of 43 percent of 1,800 respondents, while Legarda, of the Nationalist People’s Coalition, was preferred by 27 percent in the survey conducted from Feb. 21 to 25.
Roxas lost 4 percentage points from the January survey while Legarda was statistically the same, Pulse Asia said.
Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay obtained 15 percent support while Bayani Fernando picked up 4 percent. Both improved their showing from January by 2 percentage points.
Administration candidate Edu Manzano was chosen by 2 percent, the same as in Pulse Asia’s January survey.
The survey has a margin of error of plus or minus 2 percent.
